How Standing Bear Started

Developed through consultations with over 550 Indigenous youth, Standing Bear ensures its content authentically reflects the cultural backgrounds of its participants. This collaborative process has resulted in a program that deeply resonates with the population of the Indigenous community that it serves, fostering a sense of identity, pride, and belonging.

By grounding leadership training in heritage, Standing Bear empowers participants to embrace their culture while building the confidence and skills needed to become leaders.
