Toronto, ON — May 6, 2026 — Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario (ISWO) and ADP Canada, a leader in HR and payroll solutions, are proud to announce the renewal of their partnership to support the Standing Bear Youth Leadership Program, an initiative dedicated to empowering Indigenous youth through sport, culture, and community-based leadership development.

Through this partnership, ADP Canada will provide financial investment and strategic support to enhance the reach and impact of the Standing Bear Youth Leadership Program across Ontario. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing youth empowerment, workforce readiness, and long-term community wellbeing.

The Standing Bear Youth Leadership Program is designed to foster confidence, resilience, and leadership capacity among Indigenous youth by integrating sport participation, mentorship, cultural teachings, and skills development. Participants gain practical leadership experience, strengthen their connection to community and identity, and build pathways toward education and employment.

“This partnership with ADP Canada strengthens our ability to deliver transformative programming,” said Carlyn Johnston, Manager, Standing Bear of Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario. “The Standing Bear Youth Leadership Program equips youth with leadership competencies, mentorship opportunities, and cultural grounding that extend well beyond sport. Together, we are investing in future community champions.”

ADP Canada’s support will contribute to expanded program delivery, enhanced mentorship networks, leadership training modules, and increased access for youth in underserved and remote communities.

“Empowering young business leaders is foundational to building stronger communities,” said Heather Haslam, Vice President of Marketing, ADP Canada. “Our partnership with Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario aligns with our commitment to meaningful community engagement. We are honoured to support the Standing Bear Youth Leadership Program and the next generation of Indigenous business leaders.”

The partnership underscores a broader commitment to reconciliation, equity, and sustainable community impact. By aligning corporate leadership with Indigenous-led programming, ADP Canada and Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario are working collaboratively to create measurable, long-term outcomes for Indigenous youth.
