It is with great sadness that Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario (ISWO) acknowledges the passing of Ralph Reinhart Frebold, who passed away on July 3, 2026, following a short illness at the age of 64.

Ralph served as ISWO's accountant for 11 years and was an invaluable member of our financial management team. His professionalism, integrity, and sound financial guidance helped strengthen our organization over more than a decade of dedicated service. Beyond his expertise, Ralph was known for his voice of wisdom, kindness, and genuine care for those around him. He was a trusted colleague, a thoughtful mentor, and a steady presence whose contributions will have a lasting impact on ISWO.

Throughout his career, Ralph worked in the financial departments of the Region of Hamilton Wentworth and the City of Toronto before operating his own accounting practice. He also dedicated many years to serving his faith community as a deacon and treasurer, generously sharing his talents with several organizations, including Streetlight Ministry and Central Presbyterian Church in Hamilton.

Ralph was the beloved husband of Michelle for 36 years, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, and the entire ISWO community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Michelle, the Frebold family, and all who are mourning Ralph's passing. We are grateful for his years of service, friendship, and unwavering commitment to our organization. His legacy will not be forgotten.
