The Bridge Program is a paid, 250-hour workforce development initiative designed to empower Indigenous participants across Ontario. With three specialized streams to choose from, participants can gain valuable skills and hands-on experience in real-world settings.

This program is tailored for under-employed or unemployed Indigenous individuals, providing targeted support to enhance job readiness and improve employment opportunities. Through practical client interactions and skill-building activities, participants will be better equipped to secure and maintain meaningful employment.

Regardless of which program you choose, all participants will receive soft skills training on personal management, communication, presentation, collaboration, problem solving, job readiness, project management, resume building, financial literacy, interview skills, relationship building, community connections, and ongoing training opportunities. You'll also receive First Aid and CPR certifications.

Computer Technology, Coding & robotics

Participants gain in-demand technical skills that prepare them for the evolving world of technology and digital innovation. This hands-on program provides access to a high-tech lab environment where creativity meets real-world application. Whether you're designing a prototype, programming a robot, or editing a digital video, you’ll be learning through experiential, project-based training.

Participants will work with:

  • 3-D printers, laser cutters, and engravers to bring design concepts to life
  • Advanced computers equipped with creative software used in digital media, design, and coding industries
  • Robotics systems and digital photography equipment to explore automation, content creation, and smart technology
  • Electronics components to better understand circuits, sensors, and programmable devices

Beyond the tools, participants receive guided instruction designed to build confidence and technical fluency. As a highlight of the program, all learners complete training to earn the Apple Swift Certification—a globally recognized credential in coding and app development. This certification not only enhances resumes but also opens doors to careers in software development, tech support, creative media, and innovation-driven roles.

Sustainable Technology and Green Building: Trades and Apprenticeships

This program provides participants with an ideal opportunity to explore a career in green and sustainable building. The course will demonstrate the core competencies in green design and building principles. In addition, participants will gain hands-on training in real-time projects led by certified carpenters. Participants will graduate from the course with the Green Associate certification from the Canadian Green Building Council and have an opportunity to explore courses in Living Building, Net Zero and Passive House.
